From cleanse to close, we’re bringing skin and wound care skills and education to the forefront in this unique, impactful event.
Clinicians from all levels of care in Hamilton and the surrounding Southern Ontario area are invited to join us at the Hamilton Convention Centre on September 16, 2026 for a station-based clinical education workshop offering practical, hands-on product training and best practice education across the advanced wound healing continuum for acute and chronic wounds.
To be held in Hamilton, Ontario, this WoundWISE® event is intended to serve health care professionals and wound care specialists in the Southern Ontario area.

Paulo Da Rosa is a Clinical Nurse Specialist, certified Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) at St. Joseph’s Health Care in London, Ontario.
He graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BSc in Nursing, completed his wound, ostomy and continence education through the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Institute (2008), and then completed his Master of Clinical Sciences in Wound Healing at the University of Western Ontario in 2010. Paulo has published in Advances in Skin & Wound Care, as well as in the International Wound Journal. Paulo was a board member of NSWOCC (previously CAET) as the Lead for Informatics and Research, as well as President of the association. Paulo currently provides consultation on acute/chronic wounds and ostomy care at Parkwood Institute, providing support to the other sites within St. Joseph’s Health Care London. He is also the chair of an interdisciplinary team guiding wound care guidelines and policy development at Parkwood Institute.
Paulo has presented at several conferences and events in wound and ostomy care. He has a significant role in wound care education and mentoring of students at St. Joseph’s Health Care London. Paulo collaborates with other clinicians in London and surrounding areas, including LHSC, to discuss issues in wound and ostomy care, in order to attain continuity and consistency in practice.
Advanced Practice Nurse, Certified Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC)
Kimberly LeBlanc the current Academic Chair of the Association for Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy and Continence Canada’s (NSWOCC) Wound Ostomy and Continence Institute (WOC Institute), and an Advanced Practice and Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence nurse working with KDS Professional Consulting. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from Queens University. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing (FCAN), Nurses, Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (FNSWOC) and American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). In 2025 she received a King Charles III coronation medal for her contribution to nursing in Canada.
Kimberly is the President of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET) and a board member of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) and the International Wound Infection Institute (IWII). She is the immediate President of the Canadian Nurses Association, a past president of the International Skin Tear Advisory Panel and past co-chair of the Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel.
Kimberly has lectured extensively on wound and ostomy care and is considered a global expert on wounds and ostomy issues in the aging population and has numerous publications and book chapters on wound, ostomy, and continence related topics.

Attendees will spend approx. 25 minutes at each education station before rotating to the next station, visiting roughly half of the stations in the morning, and the other half in the afternoon.
Learn how pure, stable hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solutions support effective wound cleansing and irrigation.
Participants will practice cleansing techniques on realistic wound models using PureCleanse™ Super Oxidizing Saline solution while learning evidence-based best practice recommendations for their clinical settings.
